Hours vary widely: diners and fast-food chains often stay open late or around the clock, while bakeries and cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon. Catering and food delivery businesses in Pennsylvania usually require advance notice, from a day for a small order up to a week or more for a large event, so it is worth contacting them early.

Pittsburgh is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Pittsburgh follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Absolutely incredible bakery! Pink Box offers some of the most delicious and authentic Taiwanese baked goods I’ve found anywhere in the United States. The owners are incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming, which makes every visit even more enjoyable. I’ve traveled to Taiwan multiple times, and the breads and pastries here instantly transported me back to the bakeries of Taipei. The flavors, textures, and freshness are spot on. Everything tastes amazing right out of the bakery, but if you warm the pastries in the oven or air fryer at home, they become even more delicious. I never expected to find one of my favorite Asian bakeries in Pittsburgh, but Pink Box is truly a hidden gem. Whether you’re craving authentic Taiwanese baked goods or simply appreciate exceptional food, this bakery is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended!

My friend and I went for lunch here and it was phenomenal. The lady who owns the store was so kind and helped us with choosing drinks etc. and made sure they tasted perfectly. Everything was super fresh and delicious. I highly recommend both the savory and the sweet pastries. We got the chicken sausage bun, the pork floss bun, the green onion bun, and the pineapple mochi cream bun. We also got lychee tea and almond milk tea. Everything was great!

I came here once a few years ago and I am so glad this Taiwanese local shop is still here! They just have the best red bean treats. Last time I got just the red bean mochi bun and it was so great I had dreams of getting it again. This time, I got the taro mochi bun, the red bean mochi bun (again!!), and the red bean bread. I think that last thing was the best thing I have actually had from this place! Everybody needs to go here at least once in their life.

Absolutely amazing bakery! The owners were so nice! The custard buns were delicious! We shared one in the car then immediately went back inside and bought two more!

It's a bit difficult to judge Pink Box, simply because I only tried one item. However, what I can say is that Pink Box seems to be a solid Asian bakery. In fact, it's one of the few Asian bakeries in Pittsburgh. I tried the custard bun (regular vanilla, not chocolate). The price is alright for the bun. Portion wise, it's about the size of my hand, so quite large. The custard filling is creamy and has a slight acidic taste to it, almost like a light hint of lemon. I would have liked a bit more custard, but it's not an empty pastry either. The bread surrounding it is fluffy but relatively flavorless. I expected the pastry bread to be sweetened and it seemed not to be. All in all, some of the items are a little expensive. But, this place is pretty authentic, offers a good variety, and the items are seemingly fairly good quality. I'm definitely glad we have an Asian bakery in Pittsburgh, and I'll occasionally stop by.
